In 2004 Indonesia was devastated by a tsunami, the international mass consciousness went into support mode.

I felt shock, sadness and despair. The next morning as I watched the beautiful colours of sunrise, symbolising the start of a new day, I had to do something to help those suffering.

That was the beginning of The Sunrise series.
